Trumpeter Swans at Swan Falls

Towards the end of November we took a quick trip out to Swan Falls Dam. There wasn’t a whole lot going on out there, but the scenery is always nice.

We had a lot of the typical ducks, grebes, and cormorants that hang out in the water upstream from the dam, which typically stays unfrozen all year long.

The most interesting find was a group of Trumpeter Swans, which was fun because they were the first swans we’d ever seen at Swan Falls Dam. It looked like there were two adults and four cygnets.
